Depart Ouarzazate in 4x4 vehicles heading east along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs. Stop at the UNESCO ksar of Aït Benhaddou, then the Valley of Roses at Kelaat M'gouna, and Boumalen Dades. Arrive at the Dades Gorge for overnight — dramatic cliffside kasbah views.-

Day 2 — Todra Gorge to Rissani to Merzouga (180 km)
Morning walk in the spectacular Todra Gorge. Continue east through the hammada plateau, along the Fossils Road and through Rissani royal town. Arrive Merzouga in time for the camel trek into Erg Chebbi at sunset. Overnight in luxury desert camp.-
